Tuesday night the 2024 Special Olympics kicked off at 9:30pm, and some local names will be competing this year for medals. 64 athletes from the London-Middlesex area are looking for their chance to bring home the gold in their events, all part of the 346 athletes and team members from Ontario heading to Calgary for the five-day event.
Some local names competing this year include Jackson Tomlinson, who will compete in the speed skating category, and Jacob Thomas who will compete in floor hockey. We wish all the competitors the best of luck!
