Strathroy-Caradoc Police are looking for a grandparents scam suspect. Police tell myFM, on Wednesday, between the hours of 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm, Police received a report of two suspicious males in the area of Strathroyal Avenue and Helen Drive, seen knocking on doors and impersonating Police Officers. The two males were handing out flyers regarding “Emergency Grandparent Scams” and asking where elderly people in the area lived. Information received is that the suspects were in regular clothing and flashing what appeared to be a fake Police badge. Police have confirmed with neighbouring agencies that these individuals are not members of the OPP Fraud Department.
The first suspect is described as male, European, 5’9″, medium build, wearing dark clothing, holding a pink binder.
The second suspect is described to be approximately 6’2″, European, wearing dark clothing, dark blue toque.
