It’s raised close to a million dollars over its existence and has helped almost 100 families locally who have had to deal with the battle against Cancer. The 11th annual Community Over Cancer event returns to Strathroy’s Gemini Sportsplex April 27th, and Founder of Chiros Care Tyler Damen told myFM, this event all began from a personal journey.
Damen says this year’s theme will for sure rock you out of your socks.
He says that includes autographed guitars and rock ‘n roll memorabilia on hand, plus draws, games and interactive activities all to raise money for the cause. He adds this event is all about helping, and they could use some still as well for 2024.
Over the 10 years, the event has helped about 96 familes averaging $80,000 a year with last year raising over $200,000 alone in 2023. More information can be found at Community Over Cancer | Home (casinostrathroyale.com)
