The race is on in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex as seven candidates gear up for today’s by-election set to fill the seat vacated by former MPP Monte McNaughton, who resigned late in 2023. In anticipation of this significant political event, we spoke with Strathroy-Caradoc Mayor Colin Grantham, who shared his insights and thoughts on today’s election.
Andraena Tilgner represents the Ontario Green Party, while Cathy Burghardt-Jesson is the Liberal candidate. Cynthia Workman carries the Ontario Party banner, and Kathryn Shailer is the NDP’s contender. Keith Benn represents the New Blue Party, Stephen Campbell is running for the None of the Above Party, and Steve Pinsonneault is the Progressive Conservative Party candidate.
Because this is a by-election, the term for whoever will fill the seat is only two years, but Grantham says that shouldn’t make a difference.
Grantham has something he is hoping whoever will fill the seat can focus on for not just Strathroy, but the community as well.
Stay tuned for updates to see who will secure the seat in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.
