‘The 48’: Don’t miss events in Strathroy-Caradoc and area!

Here is a quick snapshot of what’s happening around town in the next 48 hours.
  • HOMETOWN FESTIVAL CONCERT TICKETS ON SALE NOW! **CASH ONLY** At myFM Radio 85 Zimmerman Ave, until June 14. WEEKDAYS 9-NOON (closed May  29-31). Friday night – $10. Saturday night – $25. Weekend Pass – $30
  • At the Middlesex County Library in Glencoe there will be a Free drop-in program for families with children 0-6 years old from 9am-11am today. Each Play & Learn program will offer a play-based learning opportunity in one of the indoor library program spaces. Activities planned by EarlyON facilitators encourage positive parent and child interaction and inspire play and learning!

 

  • Get ready for Zumbini at the Komoka library at 9:15am. Zumbini uses music and movement to support child development for children ages 0-4 years. This is a 6-week program. For Middlesex County residents only. Created by Zumba and BabyFirst, Zumbini is an early childhood education program that uses original music and movement to promote cognitive, social, fine/gross motor skill, and emotional development for children ages O to 4 years, all while creating the ultimate bonding experience for families.  For Middlesex County residents only. No cost to participate

 

  • Komoka Storytime is set to go today from 10:30am- 11am at the library. Join staff for stories, songs, rhymes and fun! All are welcome.

 

  • Ready Set Learn is set to go at the Strathroy EarlyON Child & Family Centre at 9:30am, Ready Set Learn is a 4-week program that will provide caregivers and their child with a learning experience that will support a successful school start. For children entering JK in Sept 2024.

 

  • Today is Monday Moments at the Komoka Library. Drop in every Monday from 1pm-3:30pm for cards, games, conversation and light refreshments. Everyone is welcome.

  • Stitchers’ Corner is set to go tomorrow at the Parkhill Library starting at 6:30pm. Bring your own knitting or crochet project and enjoy socializing with other stitchers while you work.
  • Career Café starts at 11am at the Ailsa Craig library tomorrow. Are you looking for work, or looking to make a change? Need help updating your cover letter and resume? Join Raegan, Outreach Specialist from Community Employment Choices, at Career Café.
  • Movie Matinee is set to go at the Mount Brydges library tomorrow starting at 1pm. Join at the library on the last Tuesday of the month to enjoy a movie with friends. All Seniors are welcome!
In local Sports:
The London Knights are headed to the 2024 Memorial Cup and look to bring it back to the Forest City. We wish all the players including locals Evan Van Gorp, Easton Cowan, and Noah Jenken the best of luck!
