Recent weapons arrest by Strathroy-Caradoc police. They tell myFM on Monday, just before3 pm, they stopped a vehicle in the east end of Strathroy for a Highway Traffic Act offence. There were two male adults in the vehicle and the driver was found to have a suspended drivers licence and was wanted on arrest warrants by another local police service. During a search incident to arrest, police found a loaded Glock pistol with 37 rounds of ammunition in a prohibited magazine. Officers also recovered a cache of ammunition and two knives in the vehicle. Police have charged a 47-year-old local man with multiple offenses

– Possession of Firearm knowing unauthorized
– Possession of Prohibited Device
– Unauthorized Possession of restricted firearm in motor vehicle
– Possession of restricted firearm with ammunition
– Tampering with serial number
– Possession of Firearm contrary to Prohibition order
– Drive while under suspension and Speeding.
The male accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing in London Tuesday morning.
