A mid-morning crash on Highway 402 near Mt. Brydges temporarily shut down the westbound lanes. Around 10 a.m. on Monday, a transport truck veered into the ditch just west of Glendon Drive, prompting a response from Middlesex OPP, firefighters, and paramedics.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. The westbound lanes at Glendon Drive were closed for several hours as police investigated the crash and crews worked to remove the truck.
The closure caused significant traffic backups as vehicles were rerouted off the highway.
The highway was reopened around 1 p.m.
