Strathroy-Caradoc is embarking on an update to the Zoning By-law and your input is crucial. This update will apply to all lands within the Municipality, aiming to establish more effective, efficient, and equitable land use regulations that meet community’s needs. A Public Information Session is happening July 10th from 6-7pm at the Caradoc Community Centre, Hartford Room, at Lions Park Dr, Mount Brydges.
If you can’t attend in person, please email your questions and comments to jhuff@strathroy-caradoc.ca or call us at 519-245-1105 x250.
A Zoning By-law is a legal document that implements the policies of the Official Plan, guiding land use (e.g., commercial, residential) and setting standards (e.g., building size, setbacks). The Official Plan manages growth and development decisions for the Municipality.
The Zoning By-law Review will include:
Reviewing the zoning classification of all lands within the Municipality Comparing the existing Zoning By-law with the County and Municipality Official Plans (excluding policies currently under review)
Discussing planning issues addressable through changes to the by-law
Please note, specific requests to change zoning classifications should be addressed through municipal planning applications, not through this review.
For more details, visit Zoning Bylaw – Strathroy-Caradoc. This session aims to inform you about the review and provide clarity on the project’s next steps.
