Lambton Public Health continues its 2024 beach water quality monitoring program at public beaches, including Grand Bend, Ipperwash and the Pinery. The water sampling determines if beaches are safe for swimming. When a beach is posted with a warning sign, it means the water is unsafe for swimming due to high levels of bacteria. Monitoring continues until August 30th.

No sampling occurs along the St. Clair River; however, a caution sign that advises of high bacteria levels following heavy rainfall has been permanently placed at:
Branton Cundick Park
Brander Park
Seager Park
