This morning, the kids at Strathroy-Caradoc’s summer camp program had quite a unique experience, as they got a visit from a Royal Canadian Air Force Griffon Helicopter. A CH-146 Griffon helicopter touched down at the Doug Welch Ball Diamond area of the Strathroy Fairgrounds Recreation Complex. Supervisor of Recreation Programs with Strathroy-Caradoc, Paul Lattimore tells myFM how it came about.
The crew of 5 including pilot Major Rich Gough from Strathroy made the trip from CFB Trenton.
Others in the community got wind of what was happening and showed up to see the cool military chopper as well.
