It’s the next step in the process to possibly bring a McDonald’s restaurant to Mount Brydges.
A public meeting will be held tonight during the Strathroy-Caradoc council meeting, which starts at 6pm.
Mayor Colin Grantham says the issue isn’t clear cut.
Mayor Grantham says he’s pleased to see people exercising their right to protest the proposal, as signs have recently gone up in the village. Although, they won’t necessarily change minds.
However, Grantham, like other vocal opponents, doesn’t like the proposed site, at Adelaide and Parkhouse Drive.
The Mayor says this is an opportunity for council to listen to the developer and citizens, then planning will regroup with the developer and, a few months from now, they’ll come back and ask for approval.
