Things continue to move forward for more residential development in Strathroy’s North end and specifically the North Meadows Secondary Plan, and now it’s in the county’s hands. This week Strathroy-Caradoc Council approved sending the report to Middlesex County for consideration and approval.
The draft plan of subdivision application proposes to develop one block for high density development with approximately 226 dwelling units, two blocks for medium density development with approximately 137 townhouse dwellings, and 21 single or semi-detached dwellings. Sidewalks, and bike lanes will be built but specific locations for them not determined yet. As far as traffic lights, there will be lights installed. The report did state the land owner would provide money to the county for construction of traffic lights at the intersection of Second Street and Adair Boulevard.
