It’s been a long time coming but traffic lights will be getting installed in Strathroy at the Metcalfe and Head Street intersection in the next few days or so. Chris Traini, Deputy CAO and County Engineer with Middlesex County says there was a back log of projects due to the pandemic.
Traini says they are almost ready to go.
Once finished, there will be three traffic light intersections pretty close together at Head Street, as well as Caradoc and Frank Streets which Traini says isn’t uncommon.
He adds it was just a matter of getting all the materials in because the fact that traffic flow had been increasing in that area over the recent years was a no brainer that lights were needed there.
