We’ve all been admiring the poppy installations at Strathroy town hall and near the cenotaph in Mount Brydges…but not even HALF of the poppies created during the poppy project have been used.
Booking and Events Co-ordinator with Strathroy-Caradoc, Kait Topham tells myFM they’ve only used about 4,000 of the 9,700 poppies that were knitted and crocheted by volunteers.
But through the winter, volunteers will be called upon again to help attach the rest of the poppies to the special netting…then, the installations in Strathroy and Mount Brydges will be expanded…and they may add a third in Melbourne, if approved.
