Five people from Lindsay are facing multiple charges following a drug bust on Tuesday. The City of Kawartha Lakes Community Street Crime Unit (CKL CSCU) and Kawartha Lakes Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit (KLPS DEU) conducted a traffic stop on Lindsay Street South at around 4pm, with assistance from the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and K9 unit.
During the arrest, police seized 525.3 grams of cocaine, 28.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 26.5 grams of fentanyl, and $1,664.45 in Canadian currency, with an estimated street value of $67,500.
The five individuals, all from Lindsay, are each facing drug trafficking. They include Daniel Lavigne, 54, Jake Breen, 32, Colin Martin, 32, Frank Pezzo, 53, and Lyndsay Howard, 31. Two were released on conditions, while three were held for a bail hearing.
