Peterborough will commemorate a pivotal chapter in its history.
On January 21st, the Peterborough Historical Society is hosting a special presentation, marking the 200th anniversary of the Peter Robinson Immigration.
The Nine Ships 1825 Inc. Board, which is coordinating the commemoration, will discuss the migration of 2,000 Irish settlers who arrived in the region in 1825.
The free event, set to begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Peterborough Lions’ Centre on Burnham Street, will also feature a panel of experts exploring themes of migration, cultural adaptation, and identity.
