A 33-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged following an investigation into inappropriate online communications.
The Peterborough Police Service’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit took the man into custody without incident on Tuesday, after allegations of illicit messaging were brought forward.
As a result of the investigation, the accused has been charged with two counts of luring a person under 18, possession of child pornography, and accessing child pornography.
The suspect remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
Peterborough Police is part of the Provincial Strategy to protect children from online sexual abuse and exploitation, a program funded by the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
