A single-vehicle collision on McEwen Drive has left the lone occupant hospitalized with serious injuries.
On April 3, 2025, at 5:59 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service, and local fire crews responded to the scene of a serious crash in Middlesex Centre.
It appears the roadway gave way beneath the vehicle as it was traveling on McEwen Drive, leading to the collision. High water levels, caused by significant storms and heavy rainfall, contributed to the incident.
The driver, a 32-year-old from Middlesex County, was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
McEwen Drive will remain closed for an undetermined period as county road crews work to repair the damaged roadway.
