The Adelaide Metcalfe Fire Department announced this week some very important purchases. They received delivery of 15 new G1 SCBA’s along with 30 cylinders for firefighters to wear, and will replace the current fleet of older models. The Fire Department also received 4 new sets of bunker gear to help assist with cancer prevention for members, allowing firefighters to have a second set of gear while dirty gear is being cleaned. The department also received a new Jordair compressor which will be used to fill new SCBA cylinders. The department thanked Adelaide Metcalfe Council and Mayor Clark for the continued help and support.
