myFM is taking a look at all of the candidates running in our new local riding of Middlesex-London in the federal election. Conservative candidate Lianne Rood, the current MP in our old riding of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex tells us what she’s been doing to get to know the new parts of the riding.
The riding also includes about 38-thousand people in London and she’s been knocking on doors there as well. She had this to say when asked about her perceived lack of experience in urban centres.
She says she feels this new riding fits very well for her.
There’s been a lot of talk of tariffs from the U-S on the campaign trail and Rood feels the blame lies squarely with the past government.
Rood says the Conservatives are also focusing on crime and affordability this election.
