The London Knights are once again champions of the Ontario Hockey League, securing back-to-back titles with a 5-2 win over the Oshawa Generals Thursday night! This year’s victory was made even sweeter as the team lifted the J. Ross Robertson Cup on home ice, giving fans in London a chance to celebrate in their own arena.
Mount Brydges native Easton Cowan scored a late empty-net goal in the third period to help seal the win for the Knights. Cowan, last year’s playoff MVP, passed the honour this season to Kasper Halttunen, who was named the most valuable player of the 2025 playoffs.
With the OHL title secured, the Knights now turn their focus to the Memorial Cup in Rimouski, Quebec. The team is looking to bounce back after last year’s heartbreaking loss in the final seconds of the championship game, and they’re hoping this year’s strong playoff (16-1-0-0) run will lead them to national glory.
