The City of Peterborough will mark Canada Day 2025 with a newly reimagined parade and a full day of celebrations, inviting residents and visitors to “Roll, Stroll and Celebrate.”
Initially promoted as a “procession” to reflect a more participatory format, the July 1st event will now include floats and vehicles after recent community feedback. Individuals, families, and local groups are encouraged to walk, bike, or roll alongside traditional parade entries.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. at City Hall and proceeds along George Street to Millennium Park, where celebrations continue from noon to 6 p.m. Entry applications are open until June 8 at peterborough.ca/CanadaDay.
The day wraps with a Peterborough Musicfest concert at Del Crary Park and fireworks over Little Lake at 9:30 p.m.
