In a week that has already been flooded with celebrity deaths, another legend has now passed away.
Wrestling fans around the world are mourning the loss of Hulk Hogan (Terry Gene Bollea), who has passed away at the age of 71. The wrestling icon died early this (Thursday) morning at his home in Florida.
TMZ reported that emergency crews were called for a cardiac arrest, and Hogan was taken from his home by stretcher and brought to the hospital. There had been reports that Hogan was very ill, but those close to him said he was recovering from neck surgery he had in May.
Hogan was one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling. His bold personality and thrilling matches helped make wrestling a popular sport for people of all ages. He played a major role in bringing wrestling into the spotlight and turning it into family entertainment.
Hulk Hogan will be remembered not only as a champion, but as a legend who changed the sport forever.
