Last year, Strathroy-Caradoc Council directed staff to utilize the remaining funding for Intercommunity Transit, with the service scheduled to conclude at the end of August this year. Council also asked staff to engage with Middlesex County to explore future transit options for the municipality.
Strathroy-Caradoc is one of 25 stakeholders involved in the service and currently holds no financial responsibility for its continuation. While the municipality supported the County’s successful funding application, no local funding commitments have been made. The next step lies with the County, which plans to consult with member communities regarding the future of Intercommunity Transit in the region.
