The Peterborough Petes have signed Swiss forward Yanis Lutz to an OHL Standard Player Agreement.
Lutz, the club’s second-round pick in the 2024 CHL Import Draft, joins the Petes after a strong season with EV Zug’s U20 and U17 squads, where he tallied a combined 35 points. The 16-year-old has also represented Switzerland at the U17 level, notching 12 points in 16 international games.
General Manager Michael Oke says Lutz brings offensive skill and strong skating to the roster and is expected to make an impact in the 2025–26 season.
Assistant Coach and Director of Player Personnel Patrick O’Connor praised Lutz’s hockey IQ and offensive upside, adding the team is eager to welcome him to Peterborough.
Lutz is currently attending Switzerland’s U18 camp ahead of the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
