The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) has awarded its 2025 conservation scholarships to four exceptional students in recognition of their academic achievement and commitment to environmental stewardship.
Cameron Vieira (Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School, Strathroy) and Lilliana Ovecka-Doskas (Lambton-Kent Composite School, Dresden) each received the A.W. Campbell Memorial Scholarship. Cameron will study Conservation Biology at Trent University, while Lilliana will pursue Veterinary Technology – Wildlife Rehabilitation at Northern College’s Haileybury campus.
Tanner Grubb, also from Lambton-Kent Composite, earned the Tony Stranak Conservation Scholarship and plans to study Water Resources Engineering at the University of Guelph. Fellow Guelph-bound student Khloe Tinning, from Wallaceburg District Secondary School, was awarded the Mary Jo Arnold Conservation Scholarship and will study Wildlife Biology and Conservation.
The $3,000 in scholarships were presented by SCRCA Chair Greg Grimes and Conservation Foundation President Duncan Skinner. Grimes praised the students, stating, “Supporting the next generation of conservation leaders is essential to building a sustainable future.”
The scholarship program is funded through trust donations managed by the St. Clair Region Conservation Foundation. More details are available at www.scrca.on.ca/scholarships.
