Last week, Strathroy-Caradoc staff presented a preliminary concept for a potential Municipal Complex in Mount Brydges, outlining key features and estimated land needs. The proposed components include a twin-pad arena with community space (20 acres), a fire station with training grounds and potential EMS facility (4 acres), and a public works yard (7 acres).
The total estimated land requirement is 30 to 35 acres, though this remains tentative. Factors like design, layout, stormwater needs, and Mount Brydges’ future urban boundary will influence the final size. Council expressed caution about publicizing land interest without funding in place for a purchase but is welcoming any land donations that may be available. No further action is required.
