You always hear about libraries, museums and other spaces being cooling centres during heat waves like the one we’re sizzling through again this week. Do they actually see people seeking relief?
myFM put the question to Lindsay Brock, Director of Library Services and CEO for Middlesex County Libraries.
Brock says those coming in from the heat are doing all sorts of things while at the library.
A cooler air mass is expected to arrive tonight, bringing an end to this latest heat event. Meantime back at the library, Brock says there’s still time to take part in their great summer activities.
There’s also a cool new feature at the Strathroy library and others that allows people to have complete privacy. We’ll find out more about the library sound proof PODS next week including the newest one in Parkhill.
