Some news now with the new fire station 1 in Strathroy. The Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department as of Saturday has pretty much moved into and officially operating out of the new station on Metcalfe Street. All apparatus will respond directly from this new location, but the site is still under construction and the drive-through bays are not yet accessible. The Fire department would like the public to know that for now, the fire trucks will need to reverse into the hall from Metcalfe Street. Fire Truck Entrance signs have been installed in both directions of traffic near the station.
