Middlesex OPP and Oneida Nation Police are investigating a shooting incident on Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation. On Sunday around 1am, Police were dispatched to Oneida Road, for the report of a break and enter, not Ballpark Road as initially reported. Officers arrived on scene and found an individual that had suffered a gunshot wound. They were subsequently transported to hospital by Oneida Nation Paramedic Service to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. A 26-year-old of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation has been taken into custody. The Middlesex OPP Crime Unit is continuing to investigate this incident.
