Strathroy-Caradoc firefighters are now working out of the new, Fire Station #1 on Metcalfe Street. Interim Fire Chief Brad Bigrigg tells myFM they couldn’t be happier with how the station turned out.
State of the art, spacious and Bigrigg says there’s other big positives as well.
A grand opening for the new fire hall will take place soon but for now, Bigrigg says fire trucks still have to back into the new station from Metcalfe.
To support safety in the area, “Fire Truck Entrance” signs have been installed in both directions of traffic near the station. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to stay alert and watch for trucks.
