SDCI and the Police have noticed a troubling trend, some student conflicts are escalating into fights, and others are gathering to watch or record them. Police say clearly this behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Physical altercations will be fully investigated, and students involved will face serious consequences, which may include suspension or police involvement.
Students who record, share, or encourage fights can also face discipline under the school’s Code of Conduct and may be investigated by police. Safety is the top priority. Violence, intimidation, and bystander encouragement have no place in the school community.
