Sunday marks the province’s annual Test Your Smoke Alarm Day…called Saved by the Beep…which started with some urgency several years ago.
So Strathroy-Caradoc Interim Fire Chief Brad Bigrigg says they decided on this special day to remind people about the importance of smoke detectors.
Bigrigg says having a meeting place outside should also be part of the plan.
The Saved by the Beep campaign encourages residents to participate in Test Your Smoke Alarm Day on September 28 by testing their smoke alarms and reviewing their home fire escape plans.
