Well don’t say you wern’t warned. Strathroy-Caradoc Police continue to see riders not following the laws surrounding Kick-Style E-Scooters. These rules are not optional, Police say they are in place to keep you and the community safe. Police say operators must be 16 years or older, riders under 18 must wear a helmet, the maximum operating speed is 24 km/h, passengers are not permitted, and operation on sidewalks is not permitted. Police officers will be actively enforcing these laws, and the fines start at $110.00. Anyone under the age of 16 found operating an e-scooter will be summonsed to court along with their parent/guardian.
