The Salvation Army in Strathroy has kicked off registration for one of its busiest Holiday programs.
That’s the Salvation Army’s new Community Ministries Manager, Ingrid Posthumus, who joins the Sally Ann at a busy time.
Ingrid tells us more about why she wanted to work for the Salvation Army.
Tasha Hebert, is a Community and Family Services Support Worker at the Salvation Army and tells myFM what’s in the Christmas Hampers people can now register for.
Hebert says last year they handed out 163 Christmas Hampers to those in need in the community.
They could really use extra donations this time of year, so if you can help, they’d really appreciate that.
Ingrid and Tasha says toys for teenagers are most in need, as they are often overlooked but any donation is greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the Salvation Army’s new location at 271 Metcalfe Street East.
If you’d like to register for a Christmas Hamper or know someone who would, call 519-245-5398 or email strathroycfs.admin@salvationarmy.ca
