Time now for one of our Small Business Week Features on myFM presented by the County of Middlesex with Gord Cumming, owner of The Wine Nook at 15 Second Street, in Strathroy.
Cumming says he’s always wanted to run a small business, having managed and run a large business from the finance side, in the past.
It’s not easy to run a business, but Cumming says it’s coming along well.
As for how it’s done? Cumming says making wine at the Wine Nook is very hands on…and easy.
We asked Gord about how important it is to support local businesses.
His best advice to others wanting to start a new business? Think big but take small steps, get yourself out there and get acquainted with the Chamber of Commerce and other small businesses.
