We switch back to Standard Time from Daylight Saving Time this weekend, getting an extra hour of sleep which many of us could use with these late baseball games. Clocks go back by an hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday so it’s good to make the switch Saturday night before heading to bed. Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Prevention Officer Jayson Chabot says it’s also a good time for fire safety.
Chabot also has this recommendation.
With clocks rolling back by an hour this weekend, we’ll gain back an extra hour of sleep that one night. However, late fall through winter, days will start to feel shorter, with later sunrises and earlier sunsets. In spring, clocks move forward in March and we lose an hour of sleep that night, and sunrise and sunset will be an hour later.
