Tuesday is Remembrance Day and you’ll find ceremonies across the region. The largest in our area is the service at the Strathroy cenotaph. Dave Foley is President of Branch 116 of the Royal Canadian Legion here in Strathroy.
Foley explains more about the ceremony.
And the crowd will pause for the playing of the Last Post. Foley reminds us why we hold these ceremonies on November 11th usually at 11am.
Wreaths will also be laid at the cenotaph during the service and people are encouraged to leave their poppy there afterwards.
The Mount Brydges Remembrance Day service is also on Tuesday with the parade forming at 10:30, marching to the cenotaph with an 11am start. Light refreshments will be served at the Legion afterwards.
