The province of Ontario recently released the 2026 Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund (OMPF) allocations, which is the largest support they provide to each municipality and of great importance to local council. This year the province included $600 million of support compared to $550 million in 2025. In terms of local communities, only Adelaide Metcalfe Township, North Middlesex and Southwest Middlesex will receive more funding this year. Strathroy-Caradoc is receiving $89,700 which is almost $16,000 less than 2025 and the only area municipality receiving under the $100,000 level. Middlesex County is receiving almost $50,000 less this year.
