Craigwiel Gardens, part of the Fairview Parkwood Craigwiel Communities (FPCC) organization, has been selected as a recipient of Waterstone Human Capital’s “Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures” award in the Broader Public Sector category. This marks the second time FPCC has earned the prestigious three-year designation.
The recognition highlights the strong, people-focused culture shared across FPCC’s three campuses: Craigwiel Gardens in Ailsa Craig, Fairview Community in Cambridge, and Parkwood Community in Waterloo. FPCC attributes the honour to staff whose deep dedication to quality care and community service consistently goes above and beyond—whether serving on committees, supporting coworkers through financial hardships, organizing charitable initiatives, or fundraising for local hospitals and residents.
“We are deeply honoured to be recognized once again as a best-in-class Canadian organization,” said Elaine Shantz, President and CEO of FPCC. “We differentiate ourselves by choosing kindness – to self, to each other and to the community, qualities that are apparent in our team at Craigwiel Gardens. This commitment reflected directly in our results: more than 90% of staff would recommend our campuses as a place to work, and we fill over 70% of leadership roles internally.”
Bob Shantz, Board Chair, noted that earning the recognition a second time is remarkable given the “exceptional pace” of the organization’s most ambitious growth period in its 80+ year history, including significant expansion and unification across all three campuses.
