Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for Strathroy, Komoka, and western Middlesex County, warning that strong winds are on the way.
Wind gusts between 70 and 80 kilometres per hour are expected to begin on Wednesday. The strong winds may continue through Thursday night or even into Friday morning.
Forecasters say the winds will come from the southwest at first, then shift to the west on Wednesday night, and turn to the northwest by Thursday afternoon or evening.
These strong gusts could cause problems in the area. Power outages are possible, and high-sided vehicles like trucks and vans may have trouble staying steady on the road. Loose objects outdoors could also get blown around.
