West Region Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have removed nearly 150 impaired drivers from local roads following the third week of the 2025 OPP Festive RIDE campaign. So far, officers across the region have completed 1,533 RIDE checkpoints at 13 detachments, resulting in 143 impaired driving charges, and 21 warn-range suspensions. Across the province, OPP officers have conducted 5,428 RIDE checks in OPP-patrolled areas, issuing 602 impaired driving charges and 65 warn-range suspensions as part of the annual enforcement and education initiative.
