The new Little Pines Preschool and North Middlesex Community Centre was built in partnership with Middlesex County and Little Pines Preschool. The project was made possible with funding from the Province of Ontario to help expand licensed childcare spaces across the province.
The new centre will support local families by providing licensed childcare and flexible space for community programs and services. The building was designed to be safe, welcoming, and inclusive, with a focus on learning, play, and community connection.
Little Pines Preschool will operate the childcare program and continue offering play-based learning for children and families in the area.
A grand opening celebration is planned for December 20th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 224 McLeod Street in Parkhill. The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the new facility. Community members are invited to attend.
Municipal leaders say the project shows a strong commitment to supporting families, improving access to childcare, and investing in the future of the North Middlesex community.
