myFM is looking back at the top stories of the year and the people in our community who were making news. Among them, new Deputy Fire Chief in Strathroy-Caradoc, Stephanie Cyros who tells myFM they had a successful 2025.
It was also a very busy year operationally, with a 15% increase in fire calls, and Cyros says next year will be a busy one as well.
And while Strathroy’s Station #1 was a focus this year, Cyros says Station #2 in Mount Brydges will be getting more attention in the coming year, including in terms of cancer prevention steps.
