OPP say they received a report on January 19th, 2026, about a theft at a store on King Street East, but they say the actual crime happened the day before on January 18th, at around 4:55 p.m. According to investigators, an unknown person entered the store and placed several grocery items into a backpack before leaving without paying. Police say the same person returned to the store a short time later, took more grocery items, and again left without paying. The individual was last seen leaving the area in a small, dark-coloured pickup truck.
Police describe the suspect as a white male between 30 and 40 years old, with light-coloured facial hair. He was last seen wearing black glasses, a plaid hooded jacket, and a dark vest, and was carrying a black and red backpack.
