London-area home sales opened 2026 on a subdued note, with January transactions dropping to their lowest level for the month in three years. Realtor data released Tuesday by the London and St. Thomas Association of Realtors shows 341 residential properties were sold during the month, representing a 10.3 per cent decline from January 2025.
While fewer homes changed hands, prices continued to edge higher. The average resale price rose by approximately $10,000 in January to $624,550. Middlesex Centre posted the highest average sale price at $861,600, while Strathroy-Caradoc was third at $720,806. The Forest City recorded the lowest average home price among local markets.
