It’s Volunteer Week brought to you by the Municipality of Strathroy Caradoc like Strathroy Chiropractor and owner of Damen Optimal Health, Dr. Tyler Damen.
Damen says he started volunteering at a young age doing things like refereeing and then had a pivotal life experience when he was forced to battle cancer.
From that point on, he volunteered with Community Over Cancer and has now also taken on the significant role as Chair of Strathroy Hospice.
Damen says the community needs people to help out and working together to make wonderful things happen is such a rewarding experience.
In terms of volunteer week, Damen says it is important to honour those who give their time and energy to volunteer.
