The Strathroy-Caradoc Police have launched a new program to help support children during difficult situations. In partnership with the Strathroy Jets, police have introduced the SCPS Comfort Pup Program, which is designed to help children who may feel scared or overwhelmed during emotional moments when officers are present.
As part of the program, officers will carry a soft stuffed puppy that can be given to children who need comfort and reassurance. Police say the goal is to provide a small but meaningful source of support during challenging times.
Community members can learn more about the program at the Strathroy Jets game tonight.
Police are also asking for the public’s help in naming the new Comfort Pup. Residents can submit name ideas at the game or in the comments on the Strathroy-Caradoc Police social media page, with the naming contest wrapping up on Monday.
