The new Strathroy-Caradoc Police Station is a step closer to reality with council approving almost $10.6 million for it as part of the recent budget process. Deputy Police Chief Brent Cushman is Project Manager for the renovations and tells myFM they’re ready to get the ball rolling.
Then it’s full steam ahead to add onto the back of the current building on Frances Street.
Deputy Chief Cushman says with close to double the compliment they had when they first moved into the building in 1999, they’re pretty tight in there.
And the renovated building will allow them to have a large, heated garage for their vehicles. The new facility will also allow for a much larger communications centre and we’ll tell you more about that in the coming days.
