One cool aspect of the soon to be renovated and expanded police station here in Strathroy is a new Communications Centre. We told you last week about the current station being overcrowded and the budget approval for renovations to the current building. Deputy Police Chief and Project Manager Brent Cushman says it may surprise people how many communications staff they have working out of Strathroy.
Cushman says it’s a real morale boost to staff, knowing they’ll have more space.
Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service currently has 37 police officers and 20 civilian staff, which is up from 20 cops and 10 civilian staff members back in 1999 which the current police station was built.
